Thanos Thanos:
Black Adam hit the illegal torrents last night. Contrary to internet opinion it doesn't suck. It's a typical superhero movie though with nothing much that stands out or has anything special about it. It's worth watching at least once but it won't generate any lasting fond memories. It's not actively bad the way far too many of the DC movies have been, but it's also really just a rehash of that which has already been done and seen multiple times over the last fifteen years. It's made enough money to earn a sequel so the main character will most likely be a large part of whatever plans DC/Warner has for the reboot of their movie properties. It's an OK part of the ongoing trend of the current times, but it (just like pretty much all the other superhero films are) really shouldn't be mistaken for anything as groundbreaking as Star Wars was. 6/10 as far as I'm concerned. Meh, whatever.
Agreed, it was okay, but hardly stunning.
We saw it in the theatre, and even on opening weekend, it was only half full.

I can't speak for anyone else, but that's the kind of movie I watch on Netflix or some other streaming service.
We only go to a handful of movies in the theatre each year, and those are all movies with lots of special effects or action that needs the huge screen, sound system and everything else theatres have. Everything else, including comedies and other drama films get watched at home.
