Wanna know a trick that's cheaper than cable?

Libraries.

If you have access to a good one or network thereof they have online accounts where you can register and they are ordering recently released movies and TV seasons as they become available on DVD or Blue Ray.

So you just go someplace like this:

https://www.dvdsreleasedates.com/dvd-release-news.php

to find out what's being released then put it on hold at the library.

Or do like what I do and if you hear people raving about something like "The Expanse," put Season 1 on hold to see if you can get into it. If you can there are following seasons for even more entertainment.

You had to go and give them ideas, didn't you? :P

Catching up on Vinyl from HBO. Bloody crime that this one didn't get a second season. Manic energy throughout the entire thing from what I can tell. Punctuated as well with those weird moments of humour that are typical to HBO dramas. Really a lot of fun.

I forgot how hot Paige Turco and Eliza Taylor are. [drool]

Marie Avgeropoulos (Octavia)....

the story concept's pretty played out now. More like "The 12" left.

Battlestar Galactica Reboot In Development Under Mr. Robot Creator

They updated this story. It won't be a reboot, it will be a separate story inside the remade universe Ron Moore created:

Thank frakk for that. 8)

I watch the odd YouTube TV series like Cobra Kai or Impulse.

I don't think this one below is official but it's pretty entertaining.

Watchmen.

It is not about building watches. Most of the time. (see what I did there!)

I`m as into sci fi as the next geek but I`m not feeling this new Watchman thing.

Don`t know if I want to make the commitment.

Looks like a bit of mess by the trailer. Pedantic, pseudo-smarty-pants in general, indulgent, chaotic. Not looking to make sense on the surface but expecting you to dig for it and hope you can imagine something.

For now I`m kind of liking that Steam Punk thing Llama mentioned earlier - Carnival Row. Don`t mind Season 2 of Titans either. (Reminds me a bit of the original Watchmen) Kind of clever how they reinvented Superboy.

So I tried the first episode of what they're calling "Watchmen."

About 5 seconds in and it was "Oh shit...bring on the woke."

So they did.

They help you hate the evil right though, and some of you like to do that so you might like that.

I managed to force myself to watch almost 10 minutes hoping there would be more to it but no, other than the woke race war thing it was looking like it wanted to be what I guessed it would go for earlier. Lots of confusion hoping to pass itself off as deep.

Rotten Tomatoes critics will like it I bet.

So by woke in this case you mean an accurate portrayal of history? Because the opening scene did happen.
