yeah that was fun.. for the first half hour..
then the swearing started.

Then the questions about the intelligence of the French.
Then wondering why the hell to build this road anyway, it goes nowhere;
for 2 hours of work, you travel about 50 km east.

Then my questions about the French were answered

lol, at least thats only a street.. 5 mins of work.

I couldnt count the hairpin turns, must been at least 80-100.

maybe I'll have a look next time.

Anyway, that road is D2204, between Nice and Menton, France.

I was gonna keep going North, but had to come back cause I was low on gas.
After Menton, jump on the highway to make up some time.

If you load google maps and really zoom in on it, you'll
see there are lots more hairpins, not just those.

I'll take some pics the next time we take the Central Cross Island Highway. Like Martin's pic it is all switch back in alot of places. The worst stretch is at the main pass, as you go from almost sea level to 2800m. Landslides are a big problem, and you often have to sit for hours waiting for the roads to be cleared.
