Hi Ladies and Gents !


part of the reason I have been AWOL for the last bit is that we have moved
to Italy.

After returning the truck, I was able to take the scoot for a 3 day trip
back to Italy.

And I even took some pics


So lets start with leaving Alicante:

Day 2, from Barcelona to France on the coast road:

note the change, less scrub, more green.
things get really green later in the day







the last village in Spain:







I ran over a snake in the middle of the road just before the border,
don't know if it was dead or not, but sure scared the hell out of me !!

Roads in France look like this, the trees go on for about 5 kilometers.

just great side roads all the rest of the day, then
a B and B for bikers in Provence.

and the scoot has a nice place for the night too

Day 3, Provence to Italy.

Back roads in behind St Tropez, Cannes, and on to Nice.

When I have time, I will go down through the front road;

I am much closer to it now

The last little challenge,

behind Nice, towards the Italian border, a real tough road
on a Harley.. ninety minutes of this, up and down......






starting at sea level, 40-45 mins



TBH, that road took a LOT longer than I thought, so after it
I jumped on the A26 from Genova to Milan, not much to see, it's a straight line.


I'll have more pics of Italy over the next few weeks, already seen some spots
to bring the camera

I enjoyed it, great riding if you stay off the autoroutes.

Seriously, had no trouble with the girl at all, she loves the road.

Only autoroute on Day3, all secondary highways for the rest of the trip,
just wonderful stuff..

gotta do another one soon

well ok


yeah that was fun.. for the first half hour..
then the swearing started.

Then the questions about the intelligence of the French.
Then wondering why the hell to build this road anyway, it goes nowhere;
for 2 hours of work, you travel about 50 km east.

Then my questions about the French were answered
