Here's another one that I like. This is only a 15 min walk away from our apartment. I live right at the bottom of the hill (with the massive cross on it). If you haven't guessed, it's the Croatian \ Catholic side.

The other picture of of the East side or the Muslim side. The two sides are seperated by a river that runs through the middle of the city. The actual East \ West line is a little further west than the river but the military uses the river as a reference.

And how would all this harmony (cough cough) be kept in check without our good Belgium friends in the Hel Det...

Elections are coming up next month so they are really making their presence known by flying lower than the norm.

Well, Rakiya making season just ended and I couldn't be happier. My landlady makes it in her garage and the stentch is aweful. It's made from the rotten grapes that weren't good enough for the wine they make....yummy. This shit will knock you on your ass.

Total:

500 litres of white wine sold at 4 KM a litre
500 litres of red wine sold at 4 KM a litre
320 litres of Rakjya sold at 5 KM a litre

They sell it to the little shops around town. Aside from the rent I pay them, this is the only other source of income they have. The oldest son is in the Bih army and makes next to nothing there. The unemplyment rate os well over 50%.

No I didn't, and too be honest, I'm okay with that. A Griffon over Montreal during the ice storm is one thing, an Agusta over Mostar during Ramadan is another.

Those waterfalls are incredible. I actually swam right underneath one of them the first time I went. I couldn't help but to think that if this was in Canada, there would be lifegaurds all over the place whistling at people to get away from the falls and to stop jumping off the rocks.

That's not very good mileage, but it's pretty impressive that they've developed vehicles that run on wine... must be based on ethanol combustion?
