If he's a member of the party they know he's a supporter and call him up for donations.

I'm assuming he voted Conservative. I get a few phone calls from the Conservatives each year asking me for money. I politely remind them I'm 17 years old without a credit card or chequing account to donate to the party.

This is the glory of that fantastic voter tracking software everyone is so envious about.
Its at the federal level so they don't know if you donated to your local MP so the evil minions get your number and have to ask. Even if you do donate, they always try to hit you up for more anyways.

You don't need to be a member of a party to get badgered for donations. I asked for a Green Party lawn sign last time around, using their web site, and now I get monthly emails asking for money.

I probably get at least one call per month from either my local MP or the party hq. It gets pretty annoying after a while. Mind you when ever they call I now get a chance to talk to someone and usually get transferred to whom ever so I can bitch about my beefs with the party. Do they care? Probably not but at least it gives me a chance to get my two cents in.

Well I'll tell you one thing.. I emailed my MP with a concern I had and he himself actually called me on a Fri afternoon and we spoke for a good 20 minutes.. I did work on both his campaigns and I know he does remember me.. I had met him at the local mall about 4 months earlier and I asked him why a certain very well known store was allowed to openly sell crack pipes,, And these were CRACK PIPES. and no dont even go there, you could not smoke tobacco with these ones.. And he remembered me talking to him about that.. then a week ago I emailed asking about getting a flag that has flown over Ottawa... LMFAO 16 yr waiting list

Shit I'm not the youngest member on this site!

Anyway, yeah I go the same way usually, being a 19 year old university student
