That's pathetic...reminds me of the snotty little bastard who didn't like playing road hockey by the rules, who finally gets fed up and takes his ball and goes home.

The question is what would the new Government look like and what would its relationship be with the US and Canada. That would go along way in determining my interest in it.

I don't think Western separation is going to happen but it will become more prominent.

What this coalition does is effectively kill the Liberals in the west, outside of maybe a few urban ridings. It cannot possibly help the NDP out west either.

Thus, unless the Liberals make a dramatic surge in Quebec, it will make it more difficult for them to win a majority government.

Oddly, the party that could benefit the most are the Greens, if, of course, they don't screw it up, which is a big assumption. With the Liberals dead and the NDP in retreat out west, that opens the door for an opposition party to fill the vacuum. That could be the Greens. They were essentially tied with the Liberals and the NDP in Alberta, for example.

Ah Toro, your new Canadian flag?

http://www.websters-online-dictionary.org/definition/banana+republic

Banana Republic

1. A small country (especially in Central America) that is politically unstable and whose economy is dominated by foreign companies and depends on one export (such as bananas).

banana republic

• noun derogatory a small politically unstable country whose economy is dependent on a single export controlled by foreign concerns.

Sounds more like the flag of Alberta!
