Belinda Stronach, the millionaire businesswoman cum Conservative leadership candidate cum Liberal party cabinet minister has announced she will not run in the next election. She will be ending her political career in order to return to the filed in which she got her start- working as a corporate executive in her wealthy father\'s autoparts firm. <br> <br>I met Belinda once, back when she was a conservative. I remember thinking she was ditzy, yet I was prepared to give her a chance because she seemed to \"mean well.\" But now it is quite obvious that politics never really was the game for her. It\'s too time-consuming and complicated. She\'s more used to just getting things handed to her, and very quickly at that. I have no doubt she expected to be Prime Minister by now.

I know that she was a Red Tory from the beginning. I could have forgiven the party change had she been truely done it because she believed it was the right thing to do, but the way she did it just smells of opportunism.

Changing her party just so you can have a cabinet post in a government just so Martin could stay alive...

Well that just makes her look like a mercenary and a rather dumb on at that.
