The star of my Christmas morning was Adam Smith's "The Wealth of Nation" in hardback.

I also got some movies, clothes, a staple-free stapler, a set of headphones, and some logic puzzles along with the usual overlarge assortment of chocolate treats.

My favorite thing I gave was a Hello Kitty DVD, wrapped elaborately into a sled shape, and given to a 28-year-old husband and father of a 10-month-old son. It took him 15 minutes to unwrap. Best gag gift ever. (I got him a real gift, too.)

I'm pretty happy with what I got, but those who didn't can also consider this thread to be about Boxing Day - What'd you return?

My brother is in from Japan. His idea of fun gifts is items from the 100yen store (in Canada that would be the Dollar Store) and the food from the train station and airport. For the third year running it's.....

..... [eat] Dried Fish, Squid & Octopus [drool] Oh my how yummy!
How he gets this through Canadian Customs is beyond me?

EEEEK! The torture of 2nd year Economic History. "...the Wealth of Nations" is a seminal work, to be sure, but an almost unreadable snorfest. :P

I got John Irving's new novel, "Last Night in Twisted River".
