Psudo: What do you think we can do to end 'bad charity' ? I'm absolutely puzzled, people are far too emotional and stupid to understand what should be done, and you can't even have a rational discussion about it, without being called racist and uncaring.

So besides starting my own charity and doing it right, theres not much I can do. Some ideas I'd like to copy, is the Doctors Without Borders hospital cruise ship they have, plus nano-tubes used for advanced reverse-osmosis filters is pretty promising and I'm already planning to get into that type of research.

I'm kinda leaning towards creating a mercenary group like Blackwater but run by atheists, and instead of gov. contracts, public donations. Could work.

For the record, anything that HAS happened is scientific evidence, history is scientific evidence, sociology, psychology, etc... all of it is based on the scientific method. I completely lack faith of any sort, except in my own abilities... everything I believe is based on the scientific method, and I'm completely open minded to changing my mind with new or better evidence.

Common sense as a term, I hardly ever refer to, but in this case, understanding that more effort will create more favorable results than less effort... well that is just common sense.

Boy we sure got off topic.

Yes and no. The issues at stake for the Presidential elections happen to be discussed right now. That they aren't discussed normally is a bit odd.

As for mercenaries. I agree with it. Trying to find the right people for the job would be very tough. And the funding would officially begin a process that turns the mercenary force in the international police. If your willing to deal with that, go ahead.

More effort != better work. Better planned work = better work.

Ever seen an argument between scientists or historians? They go tooth and nail over strange details, and they might both be wrong. As someone that has a hobby of Anthropology, I could tell you all sorts of obvious mistakes done by professionals.

Anyway, Condi as the VP would be very interesting. But the cabinet might be more important. With GWB much of the work was actually done by the cabinet. And it seems that McCain might lean that way as well. So who the cabinet members are would be very interesting.
Romney for Finance. Maybe.... hmmm. Thats all I can think of.
