I stand by my opinion that this could end up hurting the Democrats much in the long run. Though on the bright side, it's not impossible that Edwards' supporters may rally to either candidate and help clear things out somewhat.
You're right, if the Dems aren't careful, they could ace themselves right out of the next election.
I think John McCain will the be candidate for the Republicans, and he will be able to attract
a lot of independents while the Democrats self destruct... again.
They really need to get this sorted.. soon.
