My point isn't to show people contradicting themselves (though that'll happen, too). My point is to get people to look at political issues outside of the current Top Stories (tm). Jon Stewart points out people's hypocrisy (and probably not everyone's to the same consistent level). Mine puts a snapshot of the past into the present discussion. It's not a gotcha gimmick like The Daily Show likes, it's just politicians on display as they were, in their own past words. That puts their present words into perspective whether there's a contradiction or not, whether they're even on the same topic or not.
