Accually I'm a central line supporter mainly even if I am a bit to the left.

Frankly the NDP is a bit too extreme on some issues to gain my support. They tend to want to crush a problem outright without seeing the long term effects of the "solution".

You shouldn't assume. :P People will surprise you.

Frankly we need more socialogists in governemnt and less lawyers. I think thats the key point. We have nothing more then one type of eductation in office for the most part. It's time we chucked the lawyers out on their ass to make way for less monitary professions to pursue their ideals.

Please, everyone, try not to quote more than 50 lines in a block! We can remember the topic of conversation without reading the entire conversation again and again.

Quote:
I'm liberal which is by def'n open minded
How so? I thought there was a generally philosophical position of "liberalism" as established by Adam Smith and other Enlightenment philosophers. A position inherently closes off opposing positions if they're mutually exclusive. Thus, being "liberal" seems to inherently close the mind to certain alternatives. Isn't that logical reasoning?

Sociologists? Sociology is a pretty soft science, but I suppose it's better than law. Overall, I think we need more politicians starting with issues and searching for solutions rather than visa versa. Their occupation is secondary to that.

When folks criticize the military for being right-wing....I just have to smile.

There has never been an effective democratic military. The closest it ever got was the Viking tradition of the chief or king being the leader of equals.

Leon Trotsky in his reform/reorganization of the Red Army banished democracy. You simply cannot run a war by committee. Prior to Trotsky the Red Army was the inept poster-boy of a democratic army.

The military of necessity is an aristocracy.

The is no inherint neccessity for academia to be leftist. The current PC establishment is fascist rather than democratic. The mythical AGW "scientific consensus" was a signal example of this mentality in action.

Well that doesn't work either. The LIBRANOs have a real bad habit of attempting social engineering.

Don't let your school-work get in the way of your education.

Calling out Layton will impair your ability to get laid. Betcha.
