Filibuster Cartoon

Maybe this is a bit unfair. But weird financial scandals just seem to follow the Liberal Party, I can\'t help it.

Blair Wilson, the Liberal revenue critic in Mr. Dion\'s shadow cabinet, formally resigned from the party yesterday. Prior to entering politics in 2006, he was a longtime failed businessman who had badly mismanaged a string of restaurants, lost fortunes in the stock market, and wasted countless more on crappy real-estate investments. All of these ventures had a general theme of \"creative\" accounting, embezzlement, corruption, and general lawlessness, with Mr. Wilson winding up in court repeatedly.

Over the weekend the local Vancouver newspaper, \"The Province\" publicized a lot of this information for the first time, and opened up some new charges, including that Mr. Wilson had run his election campaign as badly as his business ventures, ignoring all sorts of campaign laws and spending regulations. He resigned from the Liberal Party the next day. Time will tell if anyone outside of BC will even care about this story, but it certainly doesn’t bode well for the Liberal Party’s PR department.
Honestly at this point it's not amazing. When oh when will the liberals learn to do background checks on anyone before letting them join the party...

Not a bad idea for anyone running for parliament......especially with the recent revelations about Gagliano.

Problem is those who would have to approve this likely have a few skeletons themselves...

That's not unfair.

If I were running for office, I'd higher a private investigator to "dig up dirt" on myself, so I could fix what is fixable and be prepared for the exposure of the rest.
