Congratulations, Canada, on the Hockey gold. It was a beautiful thing.
And congratulations to US too for the silver medal.

I'm, of course, a bit disappointed that we didn't win, but at least we got bronze.

BTW Mr_Canada, isn't the text in your signature misspelled?

I was wondering when someone was going to ask me that. It was actually never misspelt, The font I used for the word "SOMETHING" has horrible letter spacing, so the "I" ended up being absorbed into the "N". I've spaced it so it's more clear. :P

[quote="PTBO"]Couldnt agree more JJ. I've done my fair share of booze soaked cheering for this country and once upon a time I even considered myself a patriot who would die for his country. How sad for you. Maybe you should travel a bit and learn exactly
how many blessing Canada gives you?

I didn't even notice that. I meant, shouldn't the end of the text be "...used to." rather than "...used too."?

Hate those To words / Too words / Two words.
Never apply them correctly.

to = opposite of from
too = also, as well
two = more than one but less than three
tu = French familiar singular form of "you"
tou = a type of tropical African/Asian tree, formally called Cordia subcordata
tuu = a family of African languages
tue = abbreviation for Tuesday, named for Týr the Norse god of war and law

Hopefully that clears things up for you. =]

Thanks, Now if I can manage to remember that.
All these birthdays seem to confuse the issue.

I grew up outside of Canada and I've touched most of the continents and visited over half of the American States. Canada is home for now but its not something to get excited about. I'll probably end up emigrating- Not really much more to say about that.

I should have, however, read the Iggy article- its worse then I thought:

"We Canadians are immensely proud of our country, but we try to be soft-spoken about it, so we aren’t looking for the Vancouver Games to be a grandiose exercise in self-promotion."

The last five words are so divorced from reality one wonders if the leader of the Liberal Party reads anything other then internal policy documents. Considering that over 6 billion dollars were spent on these games which is well over 4 billion dollars more then the most recent American winter games.

"The Olympics have done their part in replacing war with sport as the way nations earn respect."

This is coming from a man who wholeheartedly supported the bloodbath in Iraq and continues to support war and occupation in Afghanistan. Iggy cluelessness is amplified by the fact that during the opening ceremonies Canadian soldiers were involved in the largest offensive yet of the decade old war in Afghanistan.

It's almost to emigrate right now- :)

... So am I incorrect? I'm not sending "used" anywhere, so is it 'to' or 'too'... Becuase now I'm unsure and am probably incorrect, :lol:

EDIT: Fuck it, I'm changing my sig to something else anyway, lol.

Just remember this MC. "Too" is used as an inclusive. Like also. Anywhere you can put the word also, you can put "too".
The same spelling also applies when it's used as a descriptive. It's "too" difficult, it's "too" big.

:/ So "to" is used for everything else?

I don't know what kind of phrase my sig originally was. I wasn't inclusive or sending anything anywhere.

"Canada is something you'll never be used to."

I guess it looks all right?

The spelling "used to" is correct.

A rephrasing of your sig might make it clearer. "You'll never be used to Canada." The meaning of "used" is aimed at the subject "Canada". Canada is not the origin of "used", but the target of it. So it's "to", the opposite of "from", that is the meaning you intend.

Pretty much yep..except for the number of course :lol:
And yeah, that's the "to" that should be used.

Used "too" would be like saying, used "also"
