I'm sure that's what the people behind this ad think as well. But follow the logic. If they think Canadians are stupid then they think you're stupid. Still want to vote for them?

That sir is an insult formed out of a biast. It has no real facts or bearing put beside it that calls into question Mr. Dion's Intelligence.

Next time you want clarity on a post I've made feel free to PM me. :)

It's spelt "biased", you stump.

That's not what the conservatives think at all.

They think that most Canadians are so attention focused elsewhere that they don't read the paper everyday as deep as they should or really even care about politics outside of election time.

Thus by calling Dion an idiot now and making people question his ability come election time Dion is starting one step down for a lot of people who won't even remember why they don't like him. because the adds will be long discontinued.

That is if the logic that most people don't follow politics outside of election time is true.

Yes, it's a baseless insult, and should be condemned as such. The word "biast" has no relevance in that context, not least because it's not a word. Perhaps you meant blast, biased, or bias. I assumed you meant one of the latter two, which also have no relevance in that context.

And I didn't PM you because it's relevant to the greater discussion: baseless drivel can be biased, but not everything biased is baseless drivel. That's my point.

Moving on...

Yes everyone is stupid unless they vote con.

Nice logic.
I doubt Canadians are incapable of understanding the issues. It's more likely they just don't give a crap, which is a reasonable position in a system where calling Quebec a nation in a totally non-binding way causes more press than economic or crime policy. You know, policies that actually affect people's lives.

I'm curious, how Canadians (and why not other people too) think of Dion compared to Martin. Do you consider him an improvement or worsening over Martin?

I see some parallels, really. I think Dion is being very hyped right now, in much the same way Martin was. Both Martin and Dion were presented as super-geniuses who were "destined" to become PM and reinvent Canada with their innovative ideas. With Martin it was talk of the economy and the "democratic deficit" where as with Dion it is all this environmental business.

And I think Dion could ultimately fail just as Martin did, because I don't think Dion's ideas really appeal to anyone outside of the political classes in Ottawa.

Mr Dion is far from an idiot... and by far more educated in Canadian Politics and in general compared to Stephen Harper... The Conservatives ( one would think) would remember Kim Campbell and the negative ads they ran against Mr. Chretien... maybe this time the Canadians will send them into oblivion......... and my message is if you love this planet ------ Vote Liberal !

Personaly I'm thinking that after the sponsership scandal anyone is better then Martin.

I'm sorry but the man was finance minister when it all went to pot. There is no way he was not in on the scandal.

Nothing says "I Love This Planet" like signing onto Kyoto and ignoring it and our emmissions for years.

Yippee for Liberals!

For both parties. It's not like the reform or the progressive conservatives had a good history of it either. Everyones guilty.

What if I love personal liberty more than environmental rhetoric I believe to be baseless?
