I saw Serenity, too.

Principled government is about balance; too far one way and the principles die, but too far the other and the government does. All of American history since the 1770s has been a case study in trying to walk that line.

I'm no particular fan of the tea party movement, but it's hard for me to be critical of their underlying declaration that government is straying from that line.
