And Psudo, I'm honestly terrified of both the over-the-top radical conservatives (Coulter, Hannity, etc.) and the religious right ( Falwell, Robertson, etc.) and that's my main objection to Huckabee. If that's an inaccurate portrayal, that actually would comfort me to know. I suppose I can reserve judgment until time elapses and I get a clearer picture of the man. Although, to be honest, I think Ann Coulter might be a little too off the right-wing deep end, to the point where being denounced by her doesn't have quite the credibility that one would hope for. It's kind of like saying that fundamentalist Christians are against something because Fred Phelps denounced it. I'm looking for someone who at least pretends to flirt with the edges of mainstream thought despite still representing the far right. Say...Hannity? O'Reilly, maybe?
Leave Jerry Falwell alone, eh? The man is dead and some of you folks STILL can't get over the joy you feel when using him as a boogeyman.

With Barack Hussein Obama as the Democrat nominee I think we could get a dead Republican to carry the November election.

Bart Simpson, I take it you're not too happy about Obama's anti-gun rehtoric?
Fox already tried to fool people Obama was Muslim... it didn't work. Besides, Saddam Hussein was about as Muslim as Ann Cuntler is female.

To the liberals who continue to deride the man years after his death, he was.

Fox already tried to fool people Obama was Muslim... it didn't work. Besides, Saddam Hussein was about as Muslim as Ann Cuntler is female. Obama is a muslim according to his muslim family and according to his official school documents. http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/Re ... 937EFDECB4Quote: At first, Obama attended the Catholic school, Fransiskus Assisis, where documents showed he enrolled as a Muslim, the religion of his stepfather. Quote: His former Roman Catholic and Muslim teachers, along with two people who were identified by Obama’s grade-school teacher as childhood friends, say Obama was registered by his family as a Muslim at both schools he attended. That registration meant that during the third and fourth grades, Obama learned about Islam for two hours each week in religion class.
The childhood friends say Obama sometimes went to Friday prayers at the local mosque. “We prayed but not really seriously, just following actions done by older people in the mosque,” Zulfin Adi said. “But as kids, we loved to meet our friends and went to the mosque together and played.” … Obama’s younger sister, Maya Soetoro, said in a statement released by the campaign that the family attended the mosque only “for big communal events,” not every Friday.
In any case, his campaign people no longer deny he was a muslim, but now they temper it by saying he wasn't really a practicing muslim (despite testimony from family and friends that he attended Friday prayers.)

I heard that he did, indeed, carry one county in Iowa. This at least keeps him in the race.
Hillary, on the other hand, got slogged.

Ah okay looks like he got 10%. Not bad for someone who wants to take down the government itself.

Not bad for someone who wants to take down the government itself. He won't win, of course, but where he is making a showing at all that means he'll have a voice at the convention and the party will have to adopt some of his ideas. Most of which I'm very much in favor of - especially his ideas on immigration... Quote: Physically secure our borders and coastlines. We must do whatever it takes to control entry into our country before we undertake complicated immigration reform proposals.
Enforce visa rules. Immigration officials must track visa holders and deport anyone who overstays their visa or otherwise violates U.S. law. This is especially important when we recall that a number of 9/11 terrorists had expired visas.
No amnesty. Estimates suggest that 10 to 20 million people are in our country illegally. That’s a lot of people to reward for breaking our laws.
No welfare for illegal aliens. Americans have welcomed immigrants who seek opportunity, work hard, and play by the rules. But taxpayers should not pay for illegal immigrants who use hospitals, clinics, schools, roads, and social services.
End birthright citizenship. As long as illegal immigrants know their children born here will be citizens, the incentive to enter the U.S. illegally will remain strong.
Pass true immigration reform. The current system is incoherent and unfair. But current reform proposals would allow up to 60 million more immigrants into our country, according to the Heritage Foundation. This is insanity. Legal immigrants from all countries should face the same rules and waiting periods.

Bart Simpson, I read that entire article. I dated a muslim woman for 3.5 years, I know more about Islam than you can shake a stick at. The only thing in the Quran supporting his position:
"No babe is born but upon Fitra (as a Muslim). It is his parents who make him a Jew or a Christian or a Polytheist." (Sahih Muslim, Book 033, Number 6426)
also: http://www.missionislam.com/discover/believeitornot.htm
So some people beleive all babies are muslim, but then are corrupted. Seems more reasonable for a supposedly omnibenevolent god, than the Catholic; "ORIGINAL SIN! DEAD BABIES GO TO HELL 4EVAR! STOP ABORTIONS!" rhetoric.
The Quran is pretty clear, that to become a Muslim you must say the Shada, how the article writer didn't know this, shows how little research he did.
If you approach the Quran as a text created by the Caliphate to unite their vast arab empire under one faith, the Quran makes a whole lot more sense. To be clear, Obama, is not Muslim by anyones standards unless he said the Shada.

Sure he was.
Ronald (6 letters)
Wilson (6 letters)
Reagan (6 letters)
Ol' Ronnie was the Mark of the Beast
Obama's anti-gun rhetoric doesn't impress me. The thought of him being President makes me ill. He's hawked as a Savior to centrists when he's more likely as far left as Marx.

Don't forget that his full name anagramizes nicely into "Insane Anglo Warlord."
But I'm willing to admit that that whole train of thought is equally silly if you're willing to stop reminding us that Barack Obama has a middle name. What is this, fourth grade? Should we start worrying about whether McCain is electable despite having a first name that's a synonym for a toilet, or Edwards despite sounding like the Crossing Over guy?

Frankly the Republican party can try and represent itself however it likes. It's not going to change the fact that most of it's frontrunners right now are at each others throats and ignoring the fact that they need some major PR to prove that voting for the republican party is not voting for another term of Bush like behavior. Weither or not that's really the case isn't even the issue really either.
People are just fed up with Bush and anything assosiated with the man has been shunned by a good precentage of the voting population. Frankly the man has done some amazing programs and great things but his bungles preceived or imaginy are starting to stand out in voters minds.

Sorry, but it's not just any middle name that Barack Hussein Obama has.
Were a politician running for office with the name Barry Hitler, or maybe even John Mengele the name will inevitably draw scrutiny. And this is not a 'fourth grade' question. This is about handing the keys to the US nuclear arsenal to someone. NOTHING about them is above or beyond scrutiny and ANY question about them is therefore valid and deserves to be addressed elsewise they should not be running for this office.
