Would like to know your opinion on the best beers that are out there. Can also discuss about which ones are the strongest, smoothess... and so on. It seems that every province have their own local breweries. [BB] [B-o] R=UP

P.S. I apologize if there already was a thread on that subjet but I could not find it so I started a new one.

I'm a fan of red ales... so I'd say the Boréale rousse is my favorite.

But let's not forget all the other great canadian beers like Alexander Keith's, Rickards Red, Micks Red, Blue, Black Label, Molson Ex, La fin du monde, La maudite, Cheval blanc and so on.. I could continue forever.

I also tried this and it was very good, along with some other beers from Unibroue.

The Chambly is from a collection of 4 beers, (ales, actually).

My favorite is La Fin du Monde :

Unibroue Unibroue:
In February 1994, Unibroue launched La Fin du Monde. It is a 9 percent alcohol, triple fermentation beer. La Fin du Monde is a deluxe beer made by triple fermentation and a unique way of straining the yeast. This method produces an unexpectedly subtle flavour. With its champagne-like effervescence, it has a vigourous presence in the mouth, which accentuates its strong personality. Slightly tart, with the balanced flavours of wild spices, malt and hops, it belongs to the class of great Trappist beers and, in this regard, is a North American first.

There is a third in the group called "Maudite" which is slightly peppery and great in January to remember what Summer is all about.

I saw that site before out of curiousity. Thanks for providing it though. I got a question, I never heard of Olands beer (they say it's brewed in Halifax NS, although I have never seen it). This is the only pic that I could find of it, and it does not seem recent lol !!!!!

Anyways, if anyone has tasted it before, do tell us, won't you ? and where could we find some?

Also got another great site to check out different types of beer

Great Western!
Taste it and find out why it's always winning international awards.
