Hi there ! I'm reasonably new to this forum and was wondering if any other women are CFL fans....I'm somewhat of a minority around where I live!

How about you guys? Wives/girlfriends..are they football fans?

Sounds like a very smart boy lol

Nice to "meet" a fellow football fan! We have season tickets for the Montreal Alouettes. It was a bit of a strain on the budget but we were on the waiting list for 3 years so I wasn't about to pass them up.

Good luck to your son in football...I hope he enjoys it!

My wife started coming to Ticat games with me while we were dating. After the usual question and answer period, (usually while the guy with the red jacket is on the field), she picked up the game really quickly. Married now (on the 30th) for 10 years and we still watch all the games together. I had to tone her down after our first son was born since she was scaring him when she yelled at the TV. Thank God Jake Ireland left refing before our second was born...
She knitted a blanket to take to the fall games, that looks like a football field, (black with yellow yard markers) and a football in the middle. Hamilton in one end zone and Ticats in the other. I think it's just over 8' by 4'. :P

Ok this is just a LITTLE off topic but I was wondering if any of the female CFL fans have ever TRIED full pad/contact football?

One year when I was in highschool our Sr. coach decided to organize a "powderpuff" game including the cheerleaders and any other interested females.

Of course it was HIS idea but WE were to the coaching and run all the practises!

It was a TON of work but in the end a lot of fun.. we sold tickets to the game to raise money for a local charity.

Calgary now has its OWN Ladies "professional" football team, The Calgary Rockies

Me a Ti-Cats fan? Sorry to say but no. Ask Allie who my team is. I do however work with an avid Ti-Cats fan who drives my batty with the chant! LOL....actually it is a pretty catchy lilttle tune.

No kidding Allie! Belli is actually one of the most involved in the community work here. If there's an event or even just meeting him on the street he's very approachable. My kids love meeting the players too.
We're in Montreal at the end of the month and were hoping to catch a game there but it's not to be this time.

It's a shame that you can't get to a game...it's nearly impossible to get tickets at this point. They are playing Winnipeg on Sunday!

I believe that about Belli and being involved..he's a really great personality ! I have an EXCELLENT picture of him with my daughter - she was 10 at the time. He picked her right up off the ground and gave her a big fat kiss on the cheek...I had zoomed in with the camera and the look on her face is just priceless!

I just assumed it meant something to Ti-Cats fan. It's just a bunch of jibberish then?
