I've been hearing rumors that Jason Maas is going to Hamilton on trade for McManus - the fact that they didn't put him on the field once makes me believe that might just be true!

I have a feeling you're right, allie. Maciocia was totally behind Ricky Ray throughout the game and Maas was not too happy about it - I seem to remember at one point Steve Armitage saying that Maas rolled his eyes at him during the game when things weren't going so well for the Esks.

it makes sense really - McManus is a good quality back up quarterback. He's not bad as first string either but I think Hamilton needs a BIG shake-up and Maas will probably help.

With McManus happy as backup in Edmonton there won't be as much stress on the team trying to figure out who should start etc. It's the same situation as Printers and Dickenson as quarterbacks in BC - they are both first string quality so it causes a lot of friction making that decision. McManus will bring a lot to the team with his experience.

Jason is headed to Hamilton for next season. BTW, he did in fact get on the field. He held the ball for Fleming. He says he can wear this seasons ring because of it. He never did put on the first one and in fact gave it away.

The Maas eye roll came right at the clincher. I won't guess at the curse he mouthed at the time.

Good Game Al's.
