Probably the most promising game this year in CIS-Football!

This year, the Rouge et Or has a better quarterback (Benoit Groulx) and a better kicker (Cameron Takacs). Their defense is probably still as good as last year, but it was not a key factor during the regular season, since l'Université Laval has won all their games with good margins, except for the Quebec final against the Carabins. They could become the first team of the CIS-Football history to win three Vanier Cup in a row.

On the other side, there are the Huskies, that would play at home, with a quaterback in top shape (Steve Bilan) and a very effective defense, wanting a revenge for their humiliating 7-1 loss against Rouge et Or last year in the Vanier Cup final.

Who is going to win?

I'll take Rouge&Or, but I would not put a lot of money on this one! :D

Huskies of course. Griffiths stadium will be packed with revenge hungry fans. Hopefully the fans will be a little more classy than those in Quebec the last time....

Yes, I know some players who were there and it's in the local paper. Apparently the fans booed the Canadian anthem and two guys ran on the field waving Quebec flags. In addition, they did some other (nasty) things to the players like spitting on them or something. Real classy.

For the booing of the national anthem, it happens sometimes here...
but only a few people do it.

For the Quebec flag, it was frequent at the PEPS stadium before 2004 that all the fans go on the field after a win. So, if some of them waved Quebec flags... Since 2004, the security measures are more strict, and no fans are allowed to go on the field now.

For the spitting, I think it's an isolated case, dumbs are everywere. But one person is enough for a journalist of the visiting team...

On the other hand, I heard in a radio report that Sask. Huskies often give a special welcome to their guests, like to parfume the visitor's room with local agricultural parfumes... It's a rumor...

Booing the national anthem and spitting on players is really retarded and low life...I feel sorry this happened ...

However I hope the Rouge & Or will crush the Huskies

I can see the number of Quebec fans outnumber that of Saskatchewan but why should you put your loyalties to a town or city ( I have no clue what Laval is) that you're not even in?

Laval is for Laval University in Quebec city, which took it's name from Mgr François de Laval.

I'm a student at Laval and a fan of the Rouge et Or, but I have to admit that the Huskies is an excellent team. I've see them playing in Hamilton last year. The Rouge et Or was completly stopped during the first half (only one or two first downs...). Hopefully, Laval defense was enough great to compensate... The ranking #1 vs #2 has no meaning for me, the true answer will be the game of tomorrow.

GO LAVAL GO 8)

I know what Laval university is, what I was ignorant about is whether it was a town or city. Some towns have universities and the knowledge of Quebec towns and cities is nill here.
