need to take some refresher courses or something. There have been so many controversial calls and you have to wonder what they are thinking.

That Ottawa-Toronto game was a perfect example...if Avery was down why wasn't the whistle blown to kill the play? I can't imagine why it would take until Ottawa lined up to convert their touchdown before the refs figured out Avery was down and the touchdown was no good.

They need to be a little more on the ball than that!

Speaking of bad calls, what the hell was with the call on Saturday's Stamps Argos game???? I mean, ***** that was absolutely crazy. Since when can the ground cause and incomplete pass????? I was literaly yelling at my TV set. The catch was good, and any idiot with half decent vision could see that. Apparantly though CFL refs could not. They were just lucky they weren't in Calgary for that game or there would have been a riot in the stands, and a police escort for the refs away from the game.

It is time for the CFL to wake up!!!!!!! Refereeing this season has been atrocious!!!! Retrain your refs or get some one more compentent to wear the striped jersey, like an educated halfwit. If youre wondering where we can find one of those, just look south, George W.'s term is almost over and he will be looking for work.

Also, I would like to encourage the CNIB to offer associate memberships to all CFL refs and linemen. I can't think of a better cause for them to back.

Because they have other jobs.. like workin at 7-11, lickin stamps for the federal government, thinking up catchy slogan ads for telus.. and being Phone soliticors.. these guys who wear the stripes are just that BRUTAL. but until this becomes a full time gig and not just volunteer with some paid privilges... we are going to take it sideways up the old dirt road by these guys for years to come.. The players need to be paid more, the officials need to be paid more and have it done as a FULL Time position. thats how you get qualified people there.. not Bill and Al from Home depot's plumbing department.
