My Hero is my grandfather E.W Pollard who on 26 March 1945 died bombing a Japanese Convoy. He (and all who have died in the line of duty) paid for us to be free.

My Great Grandfather, who fought in the Boer War, my Grandfathers, one who fought in WWI and the other who was a Merchant Marine in WWII. My Father, who was a Lancaster Navigator in WWII.

For me personally; Dean Kamen, Ed Witten, Edward Felten, Steven Hawking - and other truly smart people that society for some reason refuses to put on the pedestal they deserve. Instead putting actors, singers and athletes on the pedestal as role models for children.

Well, I'm not related to him and he didn't fight in either WW but I greatly admire the courage of Gandhi and all he did in helping form an independent India.
