Caffeinated coffee, decaffeinated coffee and meal induced greater (P < 0.05) motor activity in the transverse/descending colon when compared with the rectosigmoid colon. The effects of decaffeinated coffee on colonic motility were not significantly different from those of water

For coffee you cannot beat making it from home roasted beans. Plus it is cheaper than store bought. All it takes is green beans and a pop corn popper and voila fresh roasted beans. For the afficianados the peak in coffee flavour is from 24 hours to 7 days after roasting. Store bought can be several months old.

Now I also liked Lemmy's suggestion as an alternative and would ad Talisker and Ardbeg as other liquids of at least equal pleasure. Let the taste buds decide the best.
