Exactly. Strange that no government has shown leadership in this area. It would save a lot of money and help to unplug the medical system.

Your country is facing exactly the same issues, only while spending significantly more per GDP than we are. And your per capita GDP is higher than ours. I guess your euthanasia will happen for those who can't afford the high cost of care for the last few years. And those will be more and more.

Sarah Palin's 'death panels' have been found in Obamacare now so we're only a few years away from at least defacto euthanasia in which older people are simply denied treatment.

Kind of reminiscent of the director of some hospital in Canada a few years back who had to go to the US for cancer treatment because she was too old to receive it in Canada...even from the hospital she administrated!
