About 12 years ago, a routine check revealed that mu cholesterol was a bit high and my doctor of that time prescribed Lipitor. Instead, I took a handful of nuts each day and within three months the reading was satisfactory.
I then got out of the business whirl that was behind the problem - it was not genetic in my case and the level has remained satisfactory since.
Lipitor or similar are essential and the liver effects are minor compared to the alternatives. However, for most there are natural remedies and preventive strategies.
