I remember my mother trying to feed me that stuff as a kid in Appallachia.I thought it was the prime rib of hillbillies.I never wanted to touch the stuff.As a transplant from Florida,I wanted nothing to do with hillbilly cuisine.Many nights I would go to bed hungary rather than eat the local fare.Many years later,I had forgotten all about this product. I moved to Las Vegas six years ago.We have a large Hawaiian population,and lots of tourists from Hawaii.I guess they love SPAM in Hawaii.They eat it for breakfast,lunch,and dinner.Hawaii acounts for 7% of all SPAM sales in the States.I have tried several of the SPAM dishes created by Hawaii,and found them quite good!I guess I have to eat my words {all the bad shit I said about SPAM as a kid}.

I just can't stand tinned "meat" of any kind. I know what's in it

What is spam (the meat) actually made of? I've never tried it and have no reason to try it. I guess it's kind of insulting to call it meat. Meat is a nice juicy steak or a thick pork chop.
