Anyone ever took Ritalin or Concerta for adult ADD ?

I'm 25yo and since i'm 17yo, my cognitive functions dramatically decreased. I had to stop school some times because I could not perform even if I'm "very intelligent" in a IQ way.

I have a new psychiatrist and she thinks it may be a non-diagnosed ADD and prescribed me Concerta (which is kinda like Ritalin long-release).
I took one yesterday after noon and well... I didn't sleep much !
But, last evening I think I was thinking more clearly and I had more motivation. I'm continuing today for work, one in the morning. I will see how it goes in a real work situation. I hope it will overcome my tiredness :o

So anyone was/is in a same situation and tried that drug ?

I guess we won’t have to ask any questions regarding the topic that we should be discussing here. Most probably any topic will be welcomed here as it is related to mental health issues. If you are hear, it is either you wanted to know more about the illness or you wanted to help others. It is indeed a good thing you are doing here for others as you have done in the past. I bet there are quite a number of people out there that would love to have an advice or two from you.

But I'm curious to find out, what your tips are on dealing with a family member who's depressed all the time. Thanks!
