A friend of mine has been recently positively diagnosed with scleroderma and has been told she has 8-10 years before complications from it will take her life.

I'm wondering if there is anyone on here that has known anyone who has been diagnosed with this. I have done some reading about it on a few websites which of course only offer general "clinical" information so I'd appreciate if anyone has anything to offer about the reality of it from experience of knowing someone with it.
