I couldn't figure out the right section this should go in, but it seemed to relate to Health, depending on how you look at it. Here is a gallery of some of the worst beaches in the world: http://www.news.com.au/travel/gallery/0 ... 3,00.html#Some quick samples: CHOWPATTY BEACH, INDIA
Chowpatty beach has a reputation for being polluted, and is often deserted / Flickr user Matt Murf MARUNDA BEACH, JAKARTA
Boys collect plastic at Marunda beach in Jakarta, which remains popular with tourists despite its poor condition.
"The seawater is dirty. I also hurt my feet on stones and oyster shells. But that's OK. It's still fun because I can swim and gather shells with my relatives," tourist Lia told The Jakarta Post / Reuters HAINA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
A girl plays on the beach next to the main port in Haina. The area is deemed one of the world's dirtiest industrial waste sites by researchers, who are assessing more than 80 developing countries / Reuters DOHENY BEACH, US
California's Doheny Beach has been named the most polluted beach in the state three years in a row, and California is home to some of the US's most polluted beaches.
In one test 91 per cent of samples exceeded national health standards / Flickr user ChazWagsSome nasty stuff, that's for sure.

Just suprising how some places in the world have their priorities a little screwy, in that they could allow places like this to exist in the first place. Of course, I'm sure Canada has a few. Added: The kids in Jakarta, strolling around in that black pile of liquid garbage was what did it for me. I wonder how many used condoms ended up wrapped around their ears when they go out there.

You missed the Austrailian one though: Quote: PORT PHILLIP BAY, MELBOURNE
Our own Port Philip Bay is known for being dirty. The Herald Sun reports that sharp debris has plagued the area since 2005, with lifeguards "combining the sand for syringes and broken glass" / Flickr user Aenneken Sounds like Vancouver.

Yeah I never posted directly the Melbourne one..... visually it looked ok and I was going for visual shock value I know pretty much everything in the HRM here isn't good for swimming. They finally put in a sewage treatment plant to stop the turds from floating into the Harbour and a month or two after that it broke down and everything's back to the way it's always been. I only swim along the Sunrise Trail and down on the South Shore away from all the major polluting/sewage areas.

There is a breakers yard somewhere in India, where they take old ships apart.
I'll bet soil samples pulled off that beaches would eat the sample jar before it got to the lab.

It's sad that in Crimea you can't find a good beach only this shit))) My compassions To have a nice holydays in Crimea you should know places, things that provide Ukrainian companies for the Russian tourists it's real shit. Ukrainians not used to "use" this, while it's others, much better.
