Alot of bad calls all across the board but what I'm amazed at is that Bitz got 2 games and Webber got a fine.
Now don't get me wrong Bitz is a fekin moron who helped the Canucks lose by his undisciplined and dangerous play but, Webber went WWE on Zetteburg, elbowing him in the head and driving his face into the boards and got nothing for it.
$1:
"We felt this was a reckless and reactionary play on which Weber threw a glancing punch and then shoved Zetterberg's head into the glass," said Shanahan.
I'm pretty sure that depite the NHL's claim that they'd be enforcing the rules just like the regular season the league is still trying to sell hockey in the southern states and Webbers ridiculous fine is proof of that.
$1:
But in handing the Predators captain the maximum US$2,500 fine, NHL disciplinarian Brendan Shanahan said it will affect how he handles "any incidents involving Shea Weber throughout the remainder of the playoffs."
With statements like that it's pretty apparent that Shanahan is following the party line and not doing the job he was hired to do, or maybe he is doing the job he was hired to do?
So standby for more bad calls and suspensions only given to teams that aren't in a weak hockey market or one of Buttmans experimental new hockey cities.
