I was pissed about the Halak trade too... but Price is proving me wrong so far.

I don't for one second think that Halak is a flash-in-the-pan goalie though. His numbers in the playoffs last year are consistant with his career numbers... and he's still quite young by NHL goalie standards.

I thought the trade was a horrible mistake for the Canadiens but Price has risen to the occasion.

Halak is a great goalie in my eyes; and how he played in the play offs was amazing to see. I was disappointed not to see them get to the finals.

But who knows, they might this year.

It's only the end of November. Price still has a way to go before he really shows if the deal was worth it or not.
That being said, I've been enjoying watching him play this year so far, now that I can finally watch the Canadiennes play

Yes I would

I grew up on the East Coast thru the 70's, Canadiens almost every weekend on CBC,
always on the French channel, and it was the good old days. ;)

Saw lots of Habs-Bruins, and loved it
It's a great rivalry.

Right now, Price is considered like a demi-god. But do you know who will get some mountains of shit if the team begin to lose?

Scott Gomez.

He isn't playing his best right now but he'll get back to the norm.

Price has proven me wrong, he's been pretty good. He really ate his cockiness though on that second match-up with the Pens.

I for one, loved the arms crossed after the shoot out as if to say "GAME!" " now go home". Too bad he got put in place on the second match-up.

Goalies are sooo hard to call. Actually, I'd hate to be a GM. Only two players have ever scored 50 goals as teenagers--trivia fans, do you know who they are? Wayne Gretzky and Jimmy Carson. There careers went in opposite directions after that.

Considering that the best players on the defense in front of him are sitting in the press box with injuries (Markov, Gorges) or playing on one leg (Hamerlik), he's not doing to badly.

I hope I'm wrong but I figure them for a seventh place finish and a quick exit from the playoffs.

Loosing Markov and Gorges for the season is just to much to overcome.
