Dave Andreychuk led Tampa Bay to a Cup. No reason Sundin can't get at least real close with a young Leaf team in two years or three years.

I agree with jettisoning goofs like Kubina, Tucker and Blake, but for Kaberle's age, salary and performance, he's actually a keeper (although, Philadelphia offered Carter and 1st rounder for him...i would've taken that one)

Firstly, Tucker's best days are behind him - anyone knows that. Right now - based on THIS year's performance - he's a colossal bust and a drain on the cap.

Blake? Look at his track record - he's NOT a goal scorer! He potted 40 in a contract year and JFJ fell for it. Now he's firing shots like a madman and coming up with 15 goals?!?!? This is why he'll be golfing in a week.

Good for Sundin (although I didn't see him bitching about "rental players" when Leech came in) but bad for Toronto's future. I get it - you went to Sportchek and got yer jersey, hat and Maple Leaf Crocs, but superfan, you need to start working on actually understanding stats and hockey. Blake has averaged roughly 23 goals a season (and that's for season with over 70 games played) and that's not a goals scorer (which is he was signed) and that's NOT worth $5 million a season.

if you look at the leafs roster im pretty sure if you average was 28 goals that mores other then sundin so he hasnt played as good the guy got cancer its like the doctors tell you you have it and you say oh well and move on and leetch played a season with the leafs ya well sundin can make objections all he wants but it isnt goin to change the gm's mind
