Nikita Pivtsakin scored the winner as Team Russia edged the QMJHL all-stars 5-4 in the first game of the Canada-Russia Super Series on Monday.
Russia was down 4-3 before rallying back when centre Maxim Kitsyn scored his second of the night 17 seconds into the third and Pivtsakin added the winner at 7:01.
Denis Golubev and Anton Burdasov each scored the other goals for Russia.
Michael Bournival, Nathan Beaulieu, Alex Saulnier and Nicholas Deslauriers scored for the QMJHL.
Game 2 goes Wednesday in Drummondville, Que.
