According to the weather report, Ft Mac should be about -10 and maybe a little snow for the game. Glad to see the real cold snap ended in time for the game, it will make it a lot nicer for the fans in the stands. I sure wish I could have attended this event, I think it would have been a cool thing to go to.

The big game is tonight!!!

I'm no fan of Ft. Mac, but I sure hope this event is a great success and that it's also a great game to go along with this special evening. Good Luck to both teams and the city of Ft. McMurray!

If anyone wants to watch this first ever Junior A outdoor game, you can at the AJHL PPV link.

Oops...sorry, it's now being shown as not available to the PPV link. Weird, it said it was a couple hours ago, I was thinking of watching it over my Storm game.

QBC, could not help but notice something on that website.

All Access Pass for only $299.00. Crap, for that price, might as well get season tickets. ROTFL

This was meant as a joke, I knew you guys had season tickets.

Still, $300 for access to junior games seems a bit hefty, but that's only an opinion. Although, it is for every single game.

Yeah, I love Junior hockey, but I wouldn't want the all access pass. There are a few games now and then that I'd like to watch other than Storm games, but that's not worth $300 to me.It is too bad the game in Ft Mac. isn't on tonight though, but oh well, I'm watching the Storm game against the Bobcats. They're one point apart in the standings, so this is a big game.

Bet having season tickets must be a thrill though.

That has to be fun. Junior Hockey in my opinion is better. :)

I really like having season tickets, for only $300 a season, I get to see 32 games. It's also nice to know you'll get good seats every game we get first dibs on playoff tickets.

Well, tonight both my teams are playing, the Nucks and the Storm, I'll be watching the Storm game. (and not cause I bought the PPV package either... )

Honestly, in Quebec City, we have the Remparts in Junior Hockey.

Now, lately, there has been talks of an NHL team possibly coming to town. That would be exciting and have favourable opinions about pro Hockey. Still though, Junior leagues offers some great hockey at affordable prices.

It looks like the first ever Junior A outdoor hockey game was a success!
I listened to part of the game on the Ft McMurray radio broadcast on Country 93.3.
Sure sounded like the fans were really into the game as they had a huge crowd for a Junior A game,
5726 fans attended the sold out game. The weather cooperated to make the experience fun for all as it was a balmy -6 at game time.
By the look of the stats, the game didn't disappoint either, although the Oil Barons did out shoot the Thunder by a pretty good margin, 43-24.
Final Score in The Northern Classic........

Here's hoping this type of event happens a little closer to home next time so Rosie and I can go watch,
I think this would have been a blast!
Congrats to all those involved with the Northern Classic!!!
