Ten games into the season and 5 of them have gone to overtime, the Canucks have lost four of them. With the luck they've been having in the OT games you'd think they would be better off winning these games in regulation time! The guys actually played a good game tonight, aside from the first ten minutes where they didn't have one shot on goal, yet they eventually outshot Dallas 32-29. I hope they didn't empty the tank tonight as they now have to travel to Phoenix where they play the Coyotes tomorrow night.

Vancouver at Arizona
11

The Canucks look to bounce back from last night's loss in Dallas with a win in the desert when they wrap-up their two-game road trip against the Arizona Coyotes.

If you're the glass half-full type, you'd have to marvel at the fact that through 10 games played the Canucks have picked up points in eight outings and have been competitive in each contest never losing by more than a single goal. If you're the glass half-empty type, however, you'd probably point out that in five of their six defeats this season they could have easily walked away victorious had it not been for some late collapses and blown leads. Last night's 4-3 overtime loss to the Stars is another such example of a game the Canucks clearly left points on the table after squandering a two-goal third period lead.

The Canucks hope to secure the full two points available to them tonight when they face a Coyotes team that has just two wins in their last seven games and has not scored a goal in 73 consecutive minutes of playing time after being blanked 6-0 by Boston in their last outing. Goaltender Richard Bachman, who has yet to make his Canucks debut, could finally see action for the first time tonight. This game marks the first time the Canucks will face former teammate Brad Richardson since he signed a three-year deal with the Coyotes this past summer.

A great 1st period for the Canucks with Gaunce getting his first NHL goal and goaltender Richard Bachman gets his first start of the season, stopping all 10 shots by the Coyotes. Goals by McCann and Burrows give the Canucks a 3-0 lead, here's hoping they can keep the lead!

Vancouver vs Philadelphia
12

The Canucks play the first of just four home games in the month of November tonight when they host the Philadelphia Flyers on Grizzlies Night at Rogers Arena.

Back in the days the Canucks and Grizzlies shared the same building, the Flyers were another team that routinely felt right at home in Vancouver. It was during the era of the Vancouver Grizzlies that the Flyers were in the midst of their run of 14 consecutive games without a loss when facing the Canucks in Vancouver – be it at the Pacific Coliseum or the now-Rogers Arena. That streak is now a thing of the past, and the Canucks have turned things around on the Flyers in recent years. They've won two of the last three head-to-head meetings at Rogers Arena (2-0-1), and three of the last four meetings overall (3-0-1) including sweeping last year's season series.

The Canucks will look to continue their recent run of success against the Flyers with a different-looking line-up than what they dressed in Friday's 4-3 win over the Coyotes. Brendan Gaunce, despite scoring his first career goal, is expected to come out in favour of Sven Baertschi. On the back end, Luca Sbisa appears to be out after missing yesterday's practice and could be replaced by recent call-up Alex Biega. Ryan Miller will return between the pipes after getting a well-earned rest on Friday.
