We dont want him in Vancouver and he doesnt want to be in Vancouver...20 million is way too much for Sundin. But it does show other premier players that Vancouver is willing to put up some cash. Nice way to advertise and have players agents contact Vancouver.

Calgary could use him but there's no way any 38-year old is worth the money Sundin gets, and Sutter's not dumb enough (i.e. Doug Riseborough dumb) to go for it.
I've always been sort of neutral on Sundin because I could genuinely care less about what happens to the Maple Laffs. It would be ultimately satisfying even for us neutrals, however, if Sundin bolted from Hogtown and won a Cup in his last year of active service. Just another well-deserved kick to the nuts of the House That Harold Ballard Built and to all their jerky fans.

Gutted a Stanley Cup contender for an over-the-hill "marquee name" player before. Fat lotta good that did. I'd rather bring Bertuzzi back home.

You can HAVE Bertuzzi, we (I) dont want em Actually Vancouver would be good if only for the reaction from a few people

Christ almighty, SportsMaster, are you here to misrepresent the word "Master" again? If the Leafs sign Sundin then guess what? They're not going anywhere anyway, so why have him on the team to have them finish 10th instead of 15th? The Leafs need to finish LA Kings, Major League movie Cleveland Indians dead fucking last for two years so they can pick up some awesome drafts, ditch the fucking dead-weight like Bryan McCabe (didn't you once say he was a better defenceman than Chris Pronger??), free-up a shit-load of cap-room so Brian Burke can bring a cup back to Toronto in 2014 or so.

Vancouver hockey's getting boring anyways. No Steamer wildly slapping shots at the net. No Russian Rocket break-aways. Just endless hours of Swedes circling and passing around the net until someone takes the puck away and scores on us. Cuz even the best goalies in the league would fall asleep watching that...

I think the Nucks should take that huge money offered to Sundin and go get a couple other good two way Canadian guys...spend 5 mil each on couple guys like Brendan Morrison, oh wait, they could have, but let him go too....idiots!

Ya know..... Joe Sakic still hasn't signed with the Avs. I wouldn't mind seeing Burnaby Joe come to the Canucks and finish his career.... He'd put back some of the leadership lost by Linden retiring....and as much as TG hates the thought, Naslund leaving. He can still put the puck in the net WELL and he's add some very needed proven playoff experience. I say we junk the idea of Sundin and go get Joe, I bet he wouldn't cost us 20 million either...

Oh I would take burnaby Joe in a heartbeat...no one can replace Linden, but Sakic is the closest one that could. And ya i am not heartbroken over Nazzy leaving

Well then if were goin to unload then might as well get rid of toskala and bring pogge up and get rid of kaberle cause he will be to old in 2014
