I agree, the DIYers are the only loosers here. The contractors/tool renters aren't going to loose business since it is applies across-the-board to any work done in the city. They will simply shift their work to the other 6 days. Hey, amybe they will have to hire more workers to get it done with one less day per week.

I can understand the the by-law but they went too far. There has been more than one Sunday I got to wake up at 7AM to some contractor or other dumbfuck that wants to get an early start. Well fuck off, some of us DON'T want an early start on Sunday.
But they could have just as easily stipulated a reasonable hour they could start doing work.
