It looks like Wal-Mart is stepping up in the world of "green."

"If you’ve ever been on Walmart’s corporate website and made your way to the sustainability section, you may have noticed that there isn’t much there. No lengthy rants about the importance of sustainability and conservation. No cookie cutter paragraphs pontificating the need for corporate environmental responsibility. In fact, it consists of seven sentences that impart three simple goals the company is striving to reach: To be supplied 100 percent by renewable energy, to create zero waste, and to sell products that sustain people and the environment. No easy task. However, if anyone is capable of achieving this goal, it’s the worlds world’s largest corporation who can do it. And yesterday, Walmart Canada took an important step towards reaching those goals."

I wonder how much more CO2 they're putting into the atmosphere having everything they sell produced in China and shipped here... instead of buying Canadian. :?

Good to see companies acting responsibly - now if they can only pay people a decent wage.
