The Harper Government is loud and bullish in its criticism of China's handling of Tibetian protestors and Free Tibet Activists, yet he fails to realize that Canada is holding Quebecois culture hostage back at home and threatening to assimilate the French Canadians into more Anglican citizens.

Don't you think it is kinda hypocritical of Harper to be bashing China's treatment of Tibet, yet promoting Quebec as a part of Canada?

Harper Government is not holding Quebecois culture hostage and not threatening to assimilate the French Canadians into more Anglican citizens.

It would be more like the Han dominating and displacing other 56 odd races that make up China.

So tell me when did the Tibetans get their referendum? Quebec got two of them.

Canada was formed with the union of French and English provinces. What makes Quebec not Canadian?

Well first of all, Quebec is apart of Canada. Which dates back to the birth of Canada, where english and french put down there differences and formed a country together that was bilingual, There are quebec sepretists that wish they were apart from Canada, they also still wish quebec got funding from Canada once they seperated lol. Fortunetly, they are not a majority in quebec.

Also, The Canadian Government doesn't silence press regarding Quebec. Quebec has the free rights to say what they want, and they take advantage of that right whenever they want with there sepretist ideas.

Also Canada does not murder or imprison quebec protesters (if there where any).
Quebec gets to speak French, and Canada allows French to be a main language just like English is. Quebec basicly runs there own ship, different from the rest of Canada. As if you ever went to Quebec. There rules are quite different about a lot of things then the rest of Canada. Also if you ever went to Quebec, I think you will find that if anything. They are prejiduce against the english language, with there little language police shutting down bars because they got english posters on there walls.

Idiotic Separatists, I knew they'd try to make this sort of comparison eventually. The Natives might eventually too.

I hope someone from Tibet slaps you.

Harper like any head of state has, for security reasons, the duty to consolidate a state that can be bigger than potential enemy states.

You got it backwards bud. Quebec is holding the rest of Canada hostage. The Feds are bending over backwards to keep the newly recognized nation of the Quebecoise happy.

In Quebec, some people think that the fragmentation of Canada would be a good thing but wise people believe that the fragmentation of Canada would please mostly the big states, like China, who don't like to deal with big democratic rivals.

You hit the nail right on the head.

If they didn't care, why would they be trying to control the weather, pollution, protestors, terrorism and world opinion, all in advance of the Olympics?
