I agree Bruce. A tax on carbon has all sorts of benefits besides GHG reduction. We started down that road in BC, but the current govt has lot it's enthusiasm for it, even tho it is desperate for money. And it had some stupid features, like carbon we export wasn't subject to the tax. Canada going to a carbon tax won't solve AGW, but as you say, we'd at least be doing something, bringing in a revenue stream and reducing pollution of all kinds.
