Actually it matters because it's said like Hamas is the only ones to do it and it's used to justify Israel bombing innocent people.
Excuse me? If Hamas is attacking Israel using unguided munitions, from civilian areas, how is it Israel's fault for the collateral damage? It would be one thing if Israel used the same tactics as Hamas, using unguided munitions to lay waste to a few neighborhoods whenever they pinpoint where a rocket is being fired from, but no, Israel uses both precision and restraint when it counterattacks. Civilian casualties are bound to happen when your enemy hides in civilian areas.
If Israel truly wanted to bomb innocent people, it has technological superiority to lay waste to Gaza indiscriminately, but instead, it attempts to use it's technological superiority in order to minimize civilian casualties.

I suggest you ask some Palestinians in Gaza how they feel about Hamas instead of how the media feels about Hamas. That's all I'm saying on that topic.
I'm sure all North Koreans have nothing but praise for Dear Leader too. Certainly they would have to if they don't want to be shot.

And no, Hamas isn't a cancer to Islam. They need to exist because of Israel's agression. They showed these last couple days, doesn't matter what Hamas does they'll even make up excuses to attack Gaza.
Israel's aggression? Do you remember the 2008 Israel-Hamas ceasefire? It went into effect June 19. How many days do you think it took for the cease fire to be broken? 15? 20? 30?
Four.

Palestinian militants have launched a mortar into Israel, breaking a ceasefire deal between Israel and the radical Islamic group Hamas, a source in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said on Tuesday.
The shell landed in the vicinity of Israel's western Negev region near the Karni checkpoint, causing no damage or injuries. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Oh wait, no, they won't.

Three Qassam rockets fired from Gaza on Tuesday struck the Israeli border town of Sderot and its environs, causing no serious injuries but constituting the first serious breach of a five-day-old truce between Israel and Hamas, the Islamic group that controls Gaza.

Islamic Jihad, a small extremist group, claimed responsibility for the attack
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/25/world ... 65111.htmlAhh, that's right, only the Palestinians are allowed to be aggressive though. I mean, they're only a few rockets, who cares if a few Israelis are killed or injured, right?

And that comes to my last point. The reason Hamas and other groups are now firing rockets into southern Israel is because the past 72 hours has seen Israel bombing Gaza, killing 15 people. And for what? Despite this, Hamas waited before finally declaring the ceasefire broken, and these rocket attacks (simple rockets, mind you, blindly shot into southern Israel compared to air strikes, gun boats, and tank shellings by the IDF) are simply retaliation. Self defence.
And guess what? As long as the rocket attacks continue, Israel will continue to defend itself. History has shown Israel, through its peace with Egypt and Jordan, that it will make sacrifices for peace, but it will not tolerate attacks on its own people.
Also, you think that firing unguided rockets into Israel indiscriminately, with absolutely no care for what it hits somehow makes Palestinians hold the moral high ground? Israel does cause civilian deaths, but more because of the nature of Hamas' tactics of using the Palestinian civilian population as human shields for their attacks on Israel. Would you prefer Israel use its superior technology, only to engage in firing unguided munitions into Gaza? Of course not.
