Greetings from Edmonton. Enjoy ur stay at CKA, and in Canada if and when you get here.

Just remember to leave your prejudices at home when you come. I apologize if this doesn't apply to you or offends you in any way, and I only say it because I have had the misfortune to be involved in recreational soccer games where racial or ethnic histories caused problems.

It's all good. I don't really have any prejudice in terms of ethnicity and/or race.

If you're saying that because I'm Serbian (and the wars/economic hardships surrounding my country) don't worry. The major problem I have lies in the fact that the politicians both in my country and the countries around it, as well as certain Western politicians try to exploit the misfortune that those wars were for their personal gain. The wars were a tragedy for all involved on the ground.

I appreciate it, GreenTiger. You must be one of those cool yankees, right?

The Marksman approves. :)

I did say it because you're serbian, but only because that reminded me of a specific incident I've experienced. Not because I think that Serbians in general are any better or worse than other groups.

One of the great things about Canada, imo, is that for the most part people do leave their issues at home. Serbians and Bosnians, or Turks and armenians, or any number of groups you care to name may be a little uncomfortable around one another at times. They may even say terrible things about and to one another, but there's rarely any violence. And generally it only takes a generation or 2 for them to start realizing how stupid all that stuff back "home" is.

Sweet. Compared to some of the stuff that the far right in my own homeland (and the countries that surround it) is pushing (it's a long story, who wronged who and when, who was the traitor), Canada sounds like a paradise.
