Yep, fast lense is the way to go. I notice most of your stuff was long Tattood. I'm the other way, the longest thing I have is a 70-200 and rarely use it. I'm hoping to get more use out of it on a full frame sensor.
I mostly use my 16-35 F2.8 and my 50 F1.2, with the odd use of my 24-105 F4 and the honking heavy 24-70 F2.8.
The 16-35 was one of my most used lenses. Mainly for open aperture night shots of city centre traffic.
