Tatooed,

Which lenses do you have? FD lenses won't work but EOS lenses will, u just get a crop factor of 1.6.

Oh...I have FD 600 f/4.5, FD 85 f/1.8, and FD 300 f/5.6....so I guess start from square one again then

I do also have a Pentax with some lenses, I was told those are interchangable, so maybe my best option would be to go with the Pentax body.

You can get adaptors for FD lenses but manual focus only.
I'd either go Nikon (boo hiss) or Canon for the best image quality, features and lens range. The others just are not in the same league as the big two, in my opinion anyway. I moved from minolta film to canon.

Ive had a cam since I was a kid when it took 2 weeks to get your pics back from the drugstore, now it's just pop out the memory card into a reader and into your pc and you have pics!

I still have my 35 mm but havent used it since I got the digital.I dont think film would have hacked the cold temps up north but who knows?

I know my Samsung Digimax L50 did 2 winters in -50 temps and still took pics,The card says good for -20 but it did way better then that.

Of course it would...film has been used and is still used for eons, through all types of weather and temps...I have used film in very extreme climates and not found any difference. I figure alot less would go wrong with film in some climates. But again im old skool

Me too,or I was untill I got my digi. Dont think I would have been able to unspool the film in those temps but popping out the mem card was a piece of cake.My hand's usually froze before the camera did when doing pics or video.Plus I could take a thousand pics and you cant do that with film unless your packing a whole knapsack full of canisters.
