I don't gamble either, but the shows and food are the best. Plus I've never seen so many strange looking people in one place before......!

  I hear you!!!....we sat and people watched for quite some time one evening...it was a blast. I think some of those people were people traveling with me however

and if you want Cheez, Vegas has it all...I love some of the cheezy shows. The heli tours are spectacular as well.

I was contemplating a heli tour but on the FM forum, local Vegas photogs were not very positive about the safety record and the seating arrangements. To get good shots through pexi-glass is hard and an IS lens is a must apparently. I have the 24-105 IS but it's not my favourite on the 20D.

Very nice start.

By the way, get a big portable harddrive - you're going to need it.

It's good to take some courses...Learn the equipment and all. But to learn to take pics, you have to start to look at the world differently. Don't just go around looking like you always have. Look deeper, look past what you normally see. Don't just try and be artsy either, those pictures tend to turn out pretentious. Train your eyes to see pictures....it takes time and with a digital...you can learn it cause you can take a million shots and see what works and what doesn't. The ones that don't ...delete...

Also, don't buy any photography books for a while...they just tends to make you look for pictures that someone else has already taken....

no,test them to make sure there not wobbly or interfere with the buttons when screwed on.i also bought a flexible one from the source, you can pretty well mount your camera to anything with one of them.
