Well... Don't judge a country by what your opposition is on a website.
Secondly... if we are so Socialist and Anti-American, why is it becoming painfully obvious that the Cons are going to win another minority?

We've been anti-American since 1776.

Schleihauf Schleihauf: We've been anti-American since 1776. The world's first Anti-Americans! Without this kind of "hate" which is a heavy Canadian stereotype now, we actually would never have become a country, Not that you mind of course, Trit.

Here an idea for a thread: America becoming more Fascist & Anti-American? Very true. America isn't like the America is should and could be at all. If you know, people cared about things like the Constitution or international human rights, America would be loved still by everyone. With a very... WWI-esque feel. Saving the world, you know? It would be nice if I didn't have reasons to hate.

Sorry, we didn't become a country because some of you hate the United States.

Sorry, we didn't become a country because some of you hate the United States. In the 1860's, if it weren't for our paranoid fear of the United States, which was heavily well-grounded, especially with a call for annexation in 1866, we would have never had the need to become our own country. We would have remained British colonies until being devoured by Manifest Destiny.

Scape Scape: America has changed dramatically, not so much Canada. Would say that is a good thing or a bad thing for us?

It was only the bribe of a continental railroad that sealed the deal for us.

Wrongooo...UELs rejected American Republicanism over a century BEFORE Confederation and one of the main reasons for that final push was a fear over being annexed/invaded by the United States. Damn that education and knowledge stuff, huh?
