You'd fit right in in the Maritimes.... You can guess our bias when the rum section of the liquor store is larger then the wine section!

Boiler makers are good too.... same thing as Dark&Stormys, but regular beer.

What about Cocktails?

I used to work in a cocktail bar and we had some very good drinks.

My faves:

Singapore Sling:

1 oz gin
splash of chrerry brandy
Sour Mix with Cola topper
Served over ice.

Screaming Orgasm:

1 oz vodka
1/2 Oz Baileys & Kahlua
Mixed with cream
Shaken with ice
a sprinkle of nutmeg on top.

Brandy Alexander

1.5 Oz of brandy
1/2 Oz white creme de cacao
shaken with ice and strained into martini glass.
Sprinkled with nutmeg.

I'm there now, down at the Sexton (engineering) campus.... working on research for the summer.

Don't know a whole lot about the main campus (did my first two years at another university), but Halifax is a good city for going to school.

[hr]

Just so I'm not completely off topic, Derby, do people actually drink those things outside a bar or restaurant? Sounds like a lot of work to me.
