BartSimpson BartSimpson:
Parse it however you want. The drought is over.

I use English, and a flood is actually the symptom of drought. :!: Dry soil tends to let rain runoff instead of absorb it. That leads to flash floods.

February, and on the government weather site there are zero alerts and warnings for ALL of Canada. I don't think I've ever seen that for this time of the year. 8O

No snow here. It rained a bit last night but even now the ground looks mostly dry.

We've got more snow overnight than we have since Remembrance Day. And high winds out of the north. All the snow is just going to drift down to Calgary.

We're doing a little better than that down in the San Diego of the North, but they say it'll switch to rain in the afternoon.

Here's an interesting little weather factoid from the satellites:

$1:
Compared to seasonal norms, the warmest spot on the globe in February was over Warrensburg, Missouri, with an average temperature that was 4.06 C (about 7.31 degrees Fahrenheit) warmer than seasonal norms.

Compared to seasonal norms, the coolest average temperature on Earth in February was near the town of Penny in central British Columbia, Canada. February temperatures there averaged 2.51 C (about 4.52 degrees F) cooler than seasonal norms.

It was -20C when I left this morning... probably -30 with the wind chill. Going back to above freezing on Tuesday.
